The role – Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Advisor
The successful candidate will work closely with all of Nexus’ departments to provide advice and guidance on health, safety, quality and environment matters. You will be able to carry out audits and inspections, and have the ability to challenge internal and external stakeholders effectively where appropriate.
The successful candidate will responsible for providing professional advice and information on all aspects of health, safety and environment matters and address queries raised across the Nexus business.
Working in the HSQE team at Nexus House you will be a team player, contributing to the success of the department by liaising with internal departments and contractors and assisting in the reporting and investigation of accidents and incidents, and producing management reports. You will have a flexible approach to working hours, and be prepared to participate in the section’s out-of-hours “On Call” arrangements.
As a minimum, you will hold a minimum of a NEBOSH Health and Safety Certificate and it is desirable but not essential that you can demonstrate previous experience in a HSQE position. You will have excellent organisational and communication skills, giving you the ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure we meet the required Nexus and legislative standards. It is essential that you are a member of IOSH, and desirable that you can demonstrate continuing personal development in the field of HSQE.
A current full driving licence is desirable, together with experience of using Microsoft Office software.
