We have a part time opportunity for a Receptionist to join our Guest Services team in our Southampton office. This is a Part time role to work 12.30pm - 5.30pm Monday to Friday. As Receptionist you will create a positive first impression to clients and visitors and promote a friendly and approachable environment. You will be the first point of contact for all our clients and visitors to our firm. This is very important to us.
What will you be doing?
This job will see you working within the Reception team in Southampton as well as being part of our wider national Guest Services team. You'll be guided by the Senior Receptionist who is also based in Southampton, along with the Guest Services Supervisor. Day to day, you will be booking and coordinating meeting rooms, programming video conferences nationwide, maintaining spreadsheets and the visitor's log, accessing reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, liaising with the catering team throughout the day, booking taxis on account for any staff who visit or work in the Southampton office, ensuring accordance with the firm's ISO procedures, taking responsibility for ensuring all in-house functions run smoothly, and generally supporting the wider office. In Southampton, you will also have the support of the onsite Facilities Manager.

So, what are we looking for?
This is a key client facing role that requires expert communication skills, patience, attentiveness, a calming presence and the ability to think on your feet. It goes without saying that we would like someone who has previous experience of delivering first-class customer service. This role gives you the opportunity to interact with people across the office, and it can get very busy so we need you to be able to juggle multiple tasks and organise your workload appropriately. It would be fantastic if someone could bring experience of working within a corporate reception of a large professional services firm (or a 5 star hotel) but attitude, commitment and a client-focussed approach is far more important to us.
You'll work as part of a job share and also work very closely with the Guest Services Supervisor. As a firm we're very hot on technology and constantly look to upgrade systems so you'll need excellent IT skills. Again the ability to communicate articulately at all levels, whilst being personal, flexible and pro-active. We are also looking for a natural 'forward planner', who is highly organised and pays attention to detail.
