The Group Director of Analysis will be responsible for building a strong Analysis function whilst Defra continues to deliver our core functions - ensuring that we provide high quality decisions that are based on sound analysis. The role will oversee our work to ensure decisions are based on informed and world-class analysis to ensure we continue to make a valuable contribution for our consumers, businesses and the UK economy. In this inspiring role, you will therefore:
● Work closely with industry, consumers and international counterparts to ensure that the decisions that Defra and the UK Government make are based on world-class analysis
● Build and further strengthen the overall analytical capability of Defra whilst championing the efficient and creative use of data, analysis and evidence across the Defra Group
● Lead and inspire analysts from a wide range of professions to stimulate new and imaginative thinking
To make the most of this senior leadership role, you will need extensive analytical and innovation experience in which you have worked across professions to make connections. Having delivered expert services and strategy within an Analysis function, you will have good problem solving and outstanding communication capabilities. As a leader, you will also have knowledge of creating an inclusive environment whilst working in a complex organisation.
