As a Business Analyst (Grade D) at Aviva you will need to be a diligent and methodical individual who is confident conducting detailed analysis, review and documentation of complex systems for IT technical projects (circa 3m).

 

You will be detail oriented and able to collate, cleanse and translate large amounts of data into easy to understand information. You will be able to work as an effective member of a team and be confident in communicating with colleagues across IT and the business areas relevant to your project. You will be adept at providing projects with business expertise in order to shape the delivery and provide appropriate solution options and estimates to deliver the right business outcomes.

 

The CIO Transformation Portfolio to which you will be aligned is critical to the success of Global IT Operations in terms of enabling cost reduction, supporting business ambitions, protecting service and risk mitigation.

 

For the period 2016-18 there is expected to be an investment of circa. £50m p.a. across our portfolio which is made up of typically complex, large scale initiatives. The Infrastructure Change Delivery team is situated in Norwich, York, Bristol, London and Eastleigh and operates flexibly to support all change programmes within the portfolio across the UK.

 

What we’re looking for.

 

•You will have a solid background in Business Analysis, with a robust understanding of the full project life cycle

 

·  You will have worked in an Infrastructure environment previously and be comfortable working in a technical environment.

 

·  You will need to have excellent communication and people skills, working closely with business and technical stakeholders alike in large roll-out infrastructure programmes.

 

•You will have a detailed knowledge and application of Requirements Definition and Requirements Management processes and associated techniques (i.e. waterfall, agile developments, CMMI)

 

 •You will have a strong analytical mind and be confident performing methodical investigations and transforming large amounts of data into clear and informative packs

 

•You will be experienced in determining the appropriate work products required for the change needs and ensuring re-use recommendations and proposals that deliver the right outcomes

 

·  You will be confident to facilitate workshops using a variety of techniques for requirements elicitation, with internal and external 3rd party stakeholders/SME’s.

 

You will understand the strategic drivers and supporting benefits case for the individual project/programme being worked on and challenge when these are not being met.

 

You will be able to adopt effective processes and ways of working that promote collaboration and innovation

 

•You will be confident in providing products aligned to the CIO / CISO standards, frameworks, methodologies and governance which demonstrate intelligent analysis and include recommendations and proposals that deliver the right outcomes.

 

•You will have financial management experience and able to support the development of Cost Benefit Analysis

 

•You will be able to adopt effective processes and ways of working that promote collaboration and innovation

 

•You will be excellent at building and maintaining strong relationships with the business and other key stakeholders

 

•You will have worked on projects with complex interactivity and be able to confidently map and manage all risks and issues

 

•You will ideally have a Professional level of accreditation or certification in Business Analysis (e.g. ISEB, BCS)
