Security Analyst

 

Location: York/Norwich/London/Flexible

 

Working within the CISO department as part of the Security Advisory team, the Security Analyst – Service Desk will be responsible for the assessment and allocation of incoming demand, maintenance of team artefacts and creation and production of meaningful MI suitable for a large and varied audience of key stake holders.

 

The analyst will deal with a broad range of business areas, as well as individuals including project managers, technology experts and key stakeholders in business and IT Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, organisational and problem solving skills in order to support this busy team achieve its objectives.

 

This role will require some travel to Aviva offices throughout the UK.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide workflow management administrative support in a fast moving security team necessitating rapid proactive and reactive responses to fluctuating demands
  • Acting as a first point of contact for all CISO Security Consultancy, Architecture and Design queries
  • Direct queries, with knowledge, to appropriate team within or outside CISO
  • Liaise with Project Managers and others in the change community to gather relevant information
  • Respond to email demand in a timely and knowledgeable manner
  • Monitor, update and manage the security advisor’s time in the time recording system, e.g. Galaxy
  • Create new and maintain existing MI reports across various audiences, including development and maintenance of an internal scorecard
  • Maintain and update information repositories, including intranet, SharePoint and confluence etc. for the Security Consultancy, Architecture and Design function.
  • Liaise with other CISO functions as required
  • Liaise with related functions outside of CISO and Aviva as required
  • Deputise for the Service Desk Lead as required

 

Skills & Experience required

  • Professional qualification in Security desirable, but not essential
  • Excellent Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Awareness and knowledge of the teams within and functions of CISO as a department desirable, but not essential
  • Working under own initiative
  • Knowledge of the Aviva business and the importance of security on the strategic objective
  • Planning and organisation skills
  • Demand Management
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining high quality of outputs
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good personal impact – ability to deal with people effectively at all levels internally and externally
